Kenya: Tear Gas Fired to Disperse Angry Protesters in Nairobi

Protests intensified in Kenya's capital Nairobi on Thursday, June 12, sparked by the death in custody of political blogger Albert Ojwang last week. Police fired teargas to disperse hundreds of angry crowds, as several vehicles were set ablaze during the demonstrations.

Security upped after Falun Gong followers set selves ablaze

BEIJING, China - Police officers and vehicles take increased security measures at Beijing's Tiananmen Square on Jan. 23 after five followers of the outlawed Falun Gong movement set themselves ablaze. One person burned to death and the others were injured, the official Xinhua News Agency reported.
